
NEW STUDENT AND FRESHMEN ORIENTATION!
We can't wait to welcome our new students and freshmen to the KMHS Campus on Thursday, August 29th from 7:20 am - 10:30 am!
We have a lot of fun in store for you including the opportunity to meet advisors, tour the building, walk through the daily schedule, and more!
You will also receive your network username and password, and school computers (if you signed up for our technology partnership).


GIRLS GOLF COMES OUT SWINGING!!! The ladies were out practicing in some extreme fog this week, which had to have made it far more difficult to find those golf balls! Their first invitational of the season (an event on the 15th was canceled) takes place on Monday, Aug 19 at 8:30AM at Wisconsin Country Club.



KMHS CAMPUS OPEN HOUSE AUGUST 21ST!! All high school students are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to drop off supplies, meet teachers, find your classrooms, and get everything you need to start the school year. Students and families are welcome to stop in anytime between 5-7pm.


KMHS GEAR UP EVENTS!!! Get ready for the school year Thursday 8/15 from 8am-4pm or Wednesday 8/21 from 11:30am-7:30pm @KMHS. These events are for the entire KMHS Campus, so stop in and grab your gear!


JR. LASER BASEBALL GOLF OUTING TOMORROW!!!! The Jr. Laser Baseball team is hosting their annual golf outing at Western Lakes Country Club. They have all-day and dinner only options, raffle items, a silent auction, and live music! Register now at https://kmbaseball.golfgenius.com/pages/4540533!!


SUPPORT OUR KMHS CHEERLEADERS AT THEIR ANNUAL CAR WASH TOMORROW !!! The car wash will take place August 3rd at Ella's Public House from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Make a donation and get a squeaky clean car. All proceeds will go toward our cheerleading team and will be used for the costs of travel and competitions. Your support is greatly appreciated!!

Just click the EVENTS ICON and you can choose from list or calendar format. You can even search for specific keywords and add events to your personal calendar! NEW SUMMER ACADEMY CLASS TEACHES STUDENTS TO SEW AND EXPLORE THEIR CREATIVITY THROUGH FABRICS!! A large group of students are getting the opportunity to create their own wearable art through Sewing Basics & Yarn Arts with Mrs. McLean. The class was added to KM's Summer Academy this year and has had a fantastic response. Students have made a variety of projects including hair scrunchies, bags, blankets, scarves, and stuffed animals.





KM TRAP AND SPORTING CLAYS TEAM AT NATIONALS!!! The Kettle Moraine Trap and Sporting Clays team is in Marengo Ohio for the National Tournament. 18 students have completed two days of a 6 day tournament trying to beat schools from as far away as Alaska. Tomorrow they will start on Skeet and Doubles trap!

LOW-COST HEART SCREENING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!!! Kai11 Save A Heart Mission + Who We Play For is offering $25 screenings to all 10-25 year olds in Waukesha County on August 13th at 1721 Northview Rd. Waukesha WI. It is critical to test your graduating seniors before leaving for college, and to monitor your teenager and young adult, as many conditions present at this age. This year’s EKG/ECG event offers a contest for the schools! For every student registered with a completed EKG/ECG screening on August 13th, your school will receive one raffle ticket. The more students registered the better your schools odds to win. Drawing will be held on August 30th and the winning school will be notified the following week to schedule their free AED plus wall unit delivery. This organization was founded in honor of *Kai Lermer, a healthy student athlete of Waukesha North HS, who died at the age of 16 while playing basketball at a local park in April 2019. Kai suffered a heart attack as a result of an undiagnosed heart condition called Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. A simple ECG/EKG test could have caught this abnormality.

KM ROBOTICS TEAM WIN!!!! Laser Robotics took 1st place in the Laser Lights Off Season Event. They won the event in the 1st seat alliance with Hilltoppers, from Marquette University & Divine Savior Holy Angels, MORE Robotics, from Milwaukee.


CULVER'S CARES NIGHT!!! Best Buddies will be having a Culver's Cares night at the Wales Culver's on Tuesday, July 9th from 4-7.

Wisconsin's Global Scholars Program is designed to improve global learning across the curriculum in an effort to prepare all students to be workforce-, world-, and life-ready with global competence.
Global Scholars develop global competence through the following program requirements:
-Four credits of sustained learning in a world language or evidence of language proficiency at or above Intermediate High on the ACTFL scale.
-Four credits of coursework designed to facilitate global learning.
-Eight reflections on global learning and cultural literacy development through reading 4 or more books (fiction or non-fiction), and including up to 4 learning experiences through art, music, films, podcasts, and community-based cultural events.
-Active participation/leadership in four, or more, school-based extracurricular and special events with a global focus.
-Twenty or more hours of service learning projects related to a global issue.
