After much consideration, we have decided the color run is HAPPENING! We are going to do a shortened route (just around the school) so that it can done in an efficient manner. Those who want a longer route can take more laps.
We suggest dressing for the weather. Please bring extra hats, gloves, sweatshirts, and rain gear for your kids as well. We will have a limited amount of outdoor weather gear for sale for those who don't have time to stop at home.
Pizza and custard will still be for sale, so you don't have to make dinner. For those who haven't registered, you can absolutely continue to register up until we start.
Looking foward to bringing color to this dreary day with you all!

The Color Run is in TWO DAYS!!
A few Important notes for this FANTASTIC Event:
*Check in from 4-5, registration is accepted the day of, however Color Run Accessories may not be available.
*Culvers Custard and Pizza Guy Pizza will be on hand for purchase following the color run. $2.00 each, with proceeds coming back to the PTO.
*Wear white tops and wacky accessories and don't forget your running shoes. Wear items that you don't mind getting dirty, the color easily comes off of skin...not always fabric.
* There is a station at the end of the color blast party to blow participants off. It is still a good idea to bring towels or something to sit on in your car for the ride home.
Thank you to all the families that have registered so far and for those that have signed up to volunteer.
Let's keep the momentum going!
Not to worry there is still time to register!

There is also time to volunteer at this great event!

Good morning and we hope you are enjoying the first week of school! We've made a few changes to our website over the summer that we'd like to share with you. Our new platform combines all of our communication tools into one environment, saving us time and money; making us more efficient; but also, allowing us to utilize a system that works well on mobile devices and provides the features users have come to expect. We realize change takes time, and we'd like to offer a few simple tips to help our KM Community navigate the new site.
We have provided a video tour, at https://vimeo.com/859950194?sh. Remember to re-bookmark your frequently visited pages and add us to your contacts! There is also a mobile app that can be downloaded using the page footer or the links below.
For a quick summary of the navigation, there are two primary drop down menus in the upper right corner of every page. They are "schools" and "menu." Schools will allow you to select a location. Menu will allow you to select information that pertains to that location. The + symbols in the menu reveal additional pages in that category.
If you have questions or are having trouble finding things, feel free to contact me at ottosara@kmsd.edu
Download the app to receive notifications and access information quickly and easily on your mobile device!

The first day of school is always a very big day at the elementary level. This year, district office leadership took a field trip to visit with teachers and students. Our K-5 students were buzzing with excitement and it was wonderful to watch them enjoying all of fun things our teachers had planned.

The Wales Campus had a Great Start with Mario Kart! New students and incoming 5K students reported today for a half day and the staff did not disappoint! They made it a really fun experience and welcomed families dressed as their favorite Mario Kart characters. The kids were able to meet new friends and get to know their teachers in preparation for the first day of school on September 5th!
